Westminster Mile- PROPOSAL

Chantel's Proposal:

TITLE: BUPA Westminster Mile

LENGTH: 2 - 3 Minutes

REQUIREMENTS:
The client mostly wants footage showing Family races, wheelchair races and David Weir. They also want some interviews and a few voxpops on the day of the event so that they can then upload the footage onto the Westminster Mile website.



PURPOSE:
The purpose of this video clip is to showcase the launch of the event and to show parts of the different races and interviews that take place on the day. It is also to show people that may not be able to attend the event, all the different races that take place and to make them want to be apart of the races next year to be healthy or just for the sake of taking part in it. Having Olympic Athlete Mo Farah and David Weir in the video will catch the viewer’s attention, as they will want to come and see them at the event and they will also encourage young people to come to the event, as they may be their role models.
For my footage, I'd like to have a group of 3 people with cameras at the start of the races, a group of 3 people at the end of the races, and a few people around different parts of the race so that we’ll see different views of the race.


CONCEPT:
The concept of the race is to record a lot of footage of the race, making sure that its not just the race being filmed but also interviews with the winners and a few voxpops of other people at the event.

The aim of this video is to influence and encourage family’s to attend this event next year so that they can have a healthy lifestyle and also so that they can have a nice time as it is a family event. We would also like to encourage other people to achieve their goals when taking part in these races, as many people would have worked hard to participate in this event.

There will be other activities taking part during the races in the activation zone, so we would also like to film that area to show the different activities going on during the event.

As Mo Farah and David Weir are well known Athletes and will be at the event, this should encourage more people in the community and else where to attend this event and be apart of it.


TARGET AUDIENCE:
The target audience is aimed at everyone as it is a family event and there are many categories that anyone can be apart of. We're creating this documentary so that more people will come to this event and so that we can all continue to have a healthy lifestyle.
